The Front Big Brother Jam : Saturday 27th of August

This was planned to be a relaxed day of Rollerblading fun and simply a good excuse to get as many rollerbladers as possible in the same place at the same time, to give away some free stuff and enjoy having a sick Sk8park all to ourselves.

The actual Jam side of the competition was organised in a new ‘vote for the winner’ format which allowed everyone taking part to roll pretty much how they would on a normal days skate. With the slight alteration of having to vote at the end of the day for one person who ripped !

The Rolling that went down was off the chain. Pro’s, Am's and Beginners all showed some serious style and the UK scene in my eyes has never looked better. The addition of the BHC Tour making its final stop on the day got some great hype and drew in Rollerbladers from all over the country.

Michael Holland did a disaster backside royale from the jump box onto the roof of the building and the BHC guys rocked up The Front and destroyed the new hand rail and pretty much every other spot in the park.

All in all the ‘Big Brother Jam’ was a great success and will be running for years to come so if you couldn’t make it this time try to next year.

Thankyou to EAFOS clothing, Xsjado, Salomon, Underground, The Skateshop, Grind-it, Loco Skates, Unity Mag, sdsf, England, 50/50, Empire Distribution with Be-mag, Ucon, Hacok, 4x4, Night, Franco Shade, Project Blow, Monx, Esoteric, Able, Heat, Havok, Shiner Distribution with, Roces, Valo, Eulogy, Kryptonics, Tkc with Ground Control, Rollerblade, Jug, J Gordon General Builders for the cash prize, Mark Trebble and the BHC guys !

Annual Skateboard Front Jam : 13th August

A BIG thanks to everyone that came down and Jammed with us at The Front, even though after the beginner’s heats a tropical Caribbean style downpour started which threatened the Jam.

The competitors were not defeated and against all odds took it to the next level skating together and pushing themselves, pulling some insane tricks. Myself and all that took part agreed that it was one of the best Jams so far, a great mix of people! Hopefully I’ll see you next time.

A BIG BIG thanks to all the people that supported the day with prizes and crazy cash give always! Too many to mention, check the list on the Comps page. Thanks again . . .

Also, the locally famous DJ’s OFF NOISE and friends which support us every year ! Thanks !

Thanks to all the Front Staff and friends that helped on the day making it run smoothly.

See you all next time . . .

Greg

Annual BMX Front Jam : Saturday 6th of August

The Jam started off with a highest bunnyhop competition sponsored by 5710 which Andy White won with an insane 45 inches, then it was onto the amateur qualifying which was crazy with everyone going nuts.

After that it was the pro’s turn and they didn’t disappoint, tricks included were huge flips and double whips.

Shortly after that we had the amateur finals in which local young rippers Ollie Hibbs and Ryan Buckley came in 1st and 3rd with Olby 2nd.

In pro Ben Wallace came 1st, Luke Marchant 2nd and Rob Stacey 3rd. Best trick was also won by Rob with a monstrous turndown flip over the jumpbox.

A great day was had by all and a big thank you to all the sponsors - Cheers Tom.

If you did not place in the top three you can find out how you did via email or telephone.

There were some sick tricks being pulled over the box and some funny moments, here are the results of the jump box jam!
